The Warwick Design Consultants team comprises skilled and experienced designers, engaged in the creation and development of a wide range of innovative medical and commercial products. Established in 1985, they have over 20 years' experience in product development, innovation, sophisticated mechanisms and electronic control systems, ergonomics and detailed production design.

The Wellcome Trust is an independent charity funding research to improve human and animal health. Established in 1936 and with an endowment of around £13 billion, it is the UK's largest non-governmental source of funds for biomedical research. They seek to improve understanding of the ways science and medicine have developed, and how research affects people and society today. In Dec 2008 this project was awarded a Translational award of almost £300, 000 from the Wellcome Trust. www.wellcome.ac.uk
